iOS jailbreaking is the process of removing software restrictions imposed by Apple on iOS and tvOS. It does this by using a series of software or bootrom exploits. Jailbreaking permits root access to iOS, allowing the installation of additional applications (with root-access), extensions, and themes. All these nice things are unavailable through the official Apple App Store of course.
Here a list of the devices I’ve jailbroken:
- iPhone 4; iOS 5.1.1; RedSn0w
- iPhone 4; SwitchBoard Prototype OS 5.1; RedSn0w
- iPod touch 4; iOS 6.1.6; RedSn0w/P0sixspwn
- iPhone 4; iOS 7.0; CoolBooter
- iPhone 4; iOS 7.1.2; Pangu7
- iPhone 4; iOS 6.1.3; Pluvia-Master (Github; untethered downgrade)

You can do so many cool things with a jailbroken iDevice:
- SSH; root access
- Install unauthorised software
- Install themes.
- Install an other (i)OS
- Get apps for free
- Manually change the everything on your system
… and a lot more! #freedom for your iDevice!
