It’s possible to run alternative operating systems like Android on iDevices. But only for devices where a bootrom exploit exist. The latest one “checkm8” by axi0mX is supported by A7-A11 devices. They’re jailboken for life and some cool modifications on the devices are possible.
A project by the developers at Corellium and checkra1n named Sandcastle was released which gives the possibility to install or boot Android and Linux on the supported devices.
I’ve tried it myself on the iPhone 7. It’s very cool to see another OS running on an iPhone! Android on the iPhone is still limited in functions – but this is the beginning something crazy.
It’s running a modified version of Android 10 with some apps installed.
